Celebrate the 2,200-mile journey that is the Appalachian Trail with these handmade and handcrafted AT Katahdin Sign Wooden Earrings! Also available in fantastic rainbow.
Representing the iconic northern terminus, these are the perfect keepsake to commemorate the adventures, memories, and bittersweet moments of reaching Baxter State Park, often marking the end of the multiple months long journey for most northbound hikers. 🥲
THE CRAFT. Each piece is handmade.
- Handpainted using acrylic paint onto local recycled wood, milled from logs by my friends, and planed, sanded and assembled by yours truly.
- Hand assembled using non-hypoallergenic high quality stainless steel hardware, including lever back attachments (as opposed to hooks) so the earrings will stay put and not poke you (i got chu).
- Made in small batches by hand, including using hand-operated machines, in the mountainous Southern Appalachian region of North Carolina.
This is as lightweight, handmade and environmentally responsible as you can get. All sales final.
Photos feature some of the pairs of earrings in stock - the specific ones you receive may vary from the photos, especially the tint and wood grain, due to the varying features in using natural wood.

Length: 2.25 inches (each wooden piece is 1.5 inches long)
Weight: 0.11 oz (lightweight!)
✨The back is left as natural wood if you wish to apply essential oil there like a diffuser.
✨Due to the nature of handmade items and using a material like natural wood, each piece will vary slightly, including sometimes with the wood grain or texture coming through even with sanding - meaning every piece is unique.
✨Likewise, despite applying layers of paint and a varnish finish, depending on handling and due to regular wear and rubbing, some paint may slowly fade over time.
✨Lastly, I make every effort for photos to accurately reflect the actual color of the item in person, however please allow for slight color variance due to differences in monitor and device settings.
