Handpainted Painted Trillium Four-Petaled “Quillium” Wooden Earrings in Large

Flaunt the unique beauty of nature with these handmade and handcrafted lightweight Four-Petaled Painted Trillium (Trillium undulatum) Wooden Earrings - which my partner and I have jokingly named “The Quillium.”

Trilliums are known for their unique three petals, but these feature a rare four-petaled anomaly found while thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. Regardless, Painted Trilliums symbolize strength and longevity, and are one of the most attractive woodland trillies, distinguished by their stunning red-purple “veining” or “v” across each petal and each petal’s wavy edges (‘undulatum’ is Latin for “wavy”). In place of the red-purple v, I chose instead to engrave, as to show off the natural wood underneath.

THE CRAFT. Each piece is handmade.

• Handpainted using acrylic paint onto local recycled wood, milled from logs by my friends, and planed, sanded and assembled by yours truly. 
• Hand assembled using non-hypoallergenic high quality stainless steel hardware, including lever back attachments (as opposed to hooks) so the earrings will stay put and not poke you (i got chu). 
• Made in small batches by hand, including using hand-operated machines, in the mountainous Southern Appalachian region of North Carolina.

This is as lightweight, handmade and environmentally responsible as you can get. All sales final.
