Simple and sweet 5x7 inch folded blank greeting card(s), featuring my striking original illustration of the Luna Moth (Actias luna) on Birch (Betula spp.).
Available in individual, and bundles of three or five at discounted rates.
My illustration captures both the vivid blue-green of spring generation moths, and yellow-green of later summer generations, reflecting the southeast where there are two-three broods annually, as opposed to the usual one in northern regions. I've been ever so lucky to see them while hiking the Appalachian Trail, often during the day when they are drying their wings - that is, until dusk leads them to flight, searching for mates under the nocturnal moon, hence their namesake as “luna” is Spanish for “moon.”
THE CRAFT. From hand drawn art.
- Made in the USA.
- Designed in the mountainous Southern Appalachian region of North Carolina.
- Printed in the South onto high quality felt card stock from original illustrations. Includes an artisan kraft envelope per card.
All sales final. This card is a part of the Appalachian AF Collection by WILD DAYZ, highlighting the wonders found in nature including along the Appalachian Trail (AT).
