Painted Trillium Four-Petaled “Quillium” Wooden Earrings in Large

Trilliums are known for their unique three petals, but these lightweight wooden earrings feature my illustration of a rare four-petaled Painted Trillium (Trillium undulatum) found while thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail - which my partner and I have jokingly named “The Quillium.” 

Symbolizing strength and longevity, Painted Trilliums are one of the most attractive woodland trillies, distinguished by their stunning reddish-purple “veining” or “V” across each petal, and each petal’s wavy edges (‘undulatum’ is Latin for wavy). Find these heartwarming beauties in their natural three-petaled form growing in the wild in spring, especially in the joy that is the Appalachian Mountains. Who knows - maybe you’ll find one with four petals!

• Original illustrations printed onto responsibly sourced maple wood.
• Hand assembled in small batches using non-hypoallergenic high quality stainless steel hardware, including lever back attachments (as opposed to hooks) so the earrings will stay put and not poke you (i got chu).
